2025 APPLICATIONS COMING IN MARCH.

RULES:

• The applicant's parent or legal guardian must be an active member of WWVREMC at the time of submission of the scholarship application and at the drawing during the annual meeting on June 12, 2025.
• The applicant must be a graduating high school senior or a freshman, sophomore, or junior in any recognized college, university, trade, or vocational school but not older than 25 years of age.
• Students can receive only one Whitewater Valley REMC scholarship during their academic career. Previous recipients will be disqualified.
• Scholarship funds may be applied towards tuition or course fees at any recognized college or trade school.
• Full or part-time employees of WWVREMC; current directors of WWVREMC; or a spouse, son, daughter, stepson, stepdaughter, grandchild, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, niece or nephew of an employee or director of WWVREMC; or past recipients are ineligible to apply.
• Recipients must be enrolled full-time in the fall of the current program year. Proof of enrollment must be presented to WWVREMC before funds will be dispersed, but it does not need to accompany this application. If a student cannot fulfill his/her enrollment obligations under this program, the award is forfeited.
• Application and questionnaire must be complete, and answers must be correct to be eligible.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Complete and submit the WWVREMC Scholarship Application and Questionnaire by May 9, 2025. All answers on the questionnaire must be correct to qualify for the drawing.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

• Submit your application by mail to: Whitewater Valley REMC, ATTN: Scholarship Committee, P.O.Box 349, Liberty, IN 47353, or online at wwvremc.com/scholarships.
• A scholarship committee composed of WWVREMC employees and directors reviews all applications received to verify their eligibility to be included in the drawing based on the program's rules. Eligible applicants will be notified with annual meeting registration instructions.
• The student and/or the student’s parent or legal guardian must be present at the annual meeting.
• Ten scholarships will be awarded to eligible applicants through a random draw during the annual meeting, each worth $750.
