Welcome 2019
First, I would like to wish you all a very healthy and happy 2019. We are excited to begin the New Year because 2019 marks the 25th year since the consolidation of two Indiana cooperatives to form Whitewater Valley REMC. We have plans to celebrate throughout the year and are working on details of the 2019 Annual Meeting. Our theme is ‘ACelebration of Success’.

Cost of Service/Rate Design Update
As I reported to you at the annual meeting and in past articles, WWVREMC and our power supplier, Hoosier Energy, each completed cost of service studies in 2017.  WWVREMC approaches any rate review with the goal of keeping rates stable for consumer-members while bring in enough revenue for improvements to continue to providing safe, reliable power and that will save you money over the long-term.

WVREMC participated in the 2017-2018 Cooperative Difference Survey in connection with our power supplier, Hoosier Energy and the 17 other member systems of Hoosier Energy in December 2017.  We have participated in this national survey several times over the years.
